Beeyond Honey answered the call & we had the opportunity to save a thousand pound tree hive recently! Thanks to our Friend, Fred Dejardanes from Kids Escaping Drugs, the Department of Transportations cooperation (after persuasion), & Modern Mechanicals assistance we saved the bees! This tree cutting was part of a rezoning plan of the Harlem road bridge. So at 7am, on a 50 degree morning, we handed out bee suits to all involved and started the buzz. Unfortunately the machine that was to cut the branch of bees and let her down easy broke & they had to cut it & try and drop her as soft as possible. Not the best option but better than their original plan (not good). This was our morning & nobody got stung..
